Helen graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010 with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication. She received her J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2014. During law school, Helen served as Editor-in-Chief of the North Carolina Central Law Review, Volume 36. Helen currently serves on the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Wayne County Bar Association Executive Board.

Helen is also a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, where she serves the Auto Torts Section as the Membership Co-Chair and the New Lawyers Division as the Eastern Regional Captain. She is a member of the Habitat for Humanity Goldsboro-Wayne External Relations Committee, and a Board Member of the North Carolina Community Foundation.

Helen is a native of Goldsboro, North Carolina. She concentrates her practice in Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, Social Security Disability, Estate Litigation and Civil Litigation.
